About

Tower Hamlets Oil Collection has been involved in the oil recycling trade for a while. We turn waste materials into a useful resource. Helping to preserve the environment and reduce our living costs.

In tower hamlets there are so many takeaways that produce waste oil. It tends to cost small scale producers money to get rid of the waste oil. There used to be a problem of waste oil poured down drains because of the cost of disposal. We have been able to find a valuable use of these waste oils and therefore can collect them from you free of charge.

We can collect waste oil from Aldgate, Bethnal Green, Blackwall, Bow, Cambridge heath, Canary Wharf, Docklands, East Smithfield, Fish Island, Globe Town, HackneY Wick, Isle of Dogs, Cubitt Town, Milwall, Leamouth, Mile End, Old Ford, Poplar, Ratcliff, Roman Road, Shadwell, Shoreditch, Spitafields, Stepney, Wapping, Whitechapel

We can collect from any of these areas all year round. Often a lot of our collectors live locally, just walking distance away.

We prefer to collect oil in their original containers as we tend to dispose of the oil containers after use.

Less than 1% of used cooking oil is recycled in the UK, not the mention that 75% of sewer problems are caused by used cooking oil not being recycled correctly.

With free oil collection there is no need for this to be the case. All the oil we collect is used responsibly, Our waste carriers are license and we dispose all our dredge responsibility to tertiary waste services which burn the unwanted surplus to generate electricity.
